Not Frequently Asked Questions

There are frequently asked questions and then there are those not so frequently asked. There are a few questions you should always ask your mortgage company. Here's our challenge. Call any mortgage company and ask them these questions. Then ask us.

How are you going to help me get a mortgage?

If you have a great credit score and a solid employment history, everybody and their cousin wants to give you home loan. But if you're like most of us, you've got some good and some bad in your application. Getting the best loan is more of a challenge.

You should ask a company up front what services it provides to put you in the best loan possible for your circumstances. Don't be fooled into thinking the mortgage company is doing you the big favor by giving you a loan. You're their customer. You deserve the best product and service they can give you.

Courtesy Mortgage is about one and only one thing: helping you into the best loan you can get and then helping you into a better loan into the future.

What if I get turned down for a home loan?

If you have any credit, income, or employment problems, this is a legitimate question. In fact, it's a legitimate question even if you don't have any problems that you know of, because there might be some. You want to know if a mortgage company is just going to help you or just show you the door.

The reality is this: if you don't qualify for a loan, you may qualify six months or a year from now. Or even two months from now. You should know if a mortgage company is going to help you get your loan, even though it can't be funded now.

Courtesy Mortgage lets you know why a loan has been refused and what you can do to fix it. Then we follow up with you and try once again to put you into a loan.
