Junior Loan Officer

Compensation:

$12.00 an hour + $25 per application & full benefits including: health, dental and 401k

Overview: Courtesy Mortgage Company, a direct mortgage lender with 12 years experience. We are located in San Diego and licensed in California, Arizona, Maryland, and Florida with additional state expansion in the immediate future.

Our comprehensive line of loan programs enables our loan officers to provide mortgage solutions to a full spectrum of clients. We also provide in-house processing and underwriting support, which allows our loans to be processed quickly and efficiently. Our loans typically close within 10-14 days after submission, half the time of the industry standard.

The Junior Loan Officer position is Courtesy Mortgage's Loan Officer training program. This position fills two goals: first to find driven individuals with little or no mortgage experience and develop their skills, knowledge and ability so that they can excel as a successful Loan Officer. And secondly to generate new business leads for the Sales Team.

Requirements& Skills:

  • No Mortgage experience required
  • 4 year College degree
  • Professional, aggressive, sales-oriented individual
  • Previous sales or comparable business experience is preferred
  • Hard-working, focused individual with a competitive spirit.
  • Strong time management, customer service and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Persistent and persuasive, in business relations.
  • Comfortable with numbers and financial calculations
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills & able to work in a high stress environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office & Excel

Tasks:

  • Heavy outbound cold/warm calling on a predictive dialer from leads provided.
  • Generating loan applications
  • Reviewing credit reports, determining property values, and analyzing mortgage options.
  • Maintain monthly production goals
  • Communicating with prospective borrowers and building relationships.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 10:30-7:30 & Fridays; 9:00-6:00

Loan Officer

Compensation:

40% to 50% revenue commission split with leads provided, and full benefits including: health, dental and 401k.

The loan officer is the core of the Courtesy Mortgage Company sales team. They offer superior, individualized service to customers throughout the loan process. Our comprehensive line of loan programs enables our loan officers to provide mortgage solutions to a full spectrum of clients. We also provide in-house processing and underwriting support, which allows our loans to be processed quickly & efficiently. We fund and process our loans in about 10-14 days from submission, half that of the industry standard.

Requirements & Skills :

  • 2 years of mortgage or Financial Services sales experience.
  • 4 year College degree (no exceptions)
  • Experience cold and warm calling through leads provided
  • Professional, aggressive, sales-oriented individual
  • Pricing a loan with a rate sheet & matrix
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Able to work in a high stress environment
  • Persistent and persuasive in business relations
  • Comfortable with numbers and financial calculations
  • Loan product knowledge
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus
  • Must have a good background and driving record.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.

Tasks:

  • Providing loan proposals for prospective borrowers.
  • Reviewing credit reports, determining property values, and analyzing mortgage options.
  • Taking a full loan application through our CRM database, choosing an appropriate loan program for the consumer, live pricing and selling the benefit of the loan on the first sales call.
  • Communicating with prospective borrowers and building relationships.
  • Educating potential borrowers in the home buying and financing process.
  • Selling the loan on the first call
  • Holding in-person and phone appointments to go over loan details.
  • Collecting all required loan documents before sending to Operations.
  • Working in coordination with the Operations department for completion of loans.
  • Guiding customers through the entire loan process

Hours: Monday-Thursday 10:30-7:30 & Fridays; 9:00-6:00
